Gadgeon Europe is looking for an enthusiastic Robotics Embedded Software Engineer to reinforce the development team at one of our customers. They are a global company that manufactures and sells Outdoor Power Equipment, Agricultural machinery, and Industrial machinery, with major markets in Japan and the Americas, and a growing business presence in Europe, Asia, and other countries.
Key duties/responsibilities
Design and implement software of embedded devices in robotics systems from requirements to production and commercial deployment.
- Design, develop, code, test and debug system software and robotics subsystems: navigation aspects, control of sensors modules and sensors data processing algorithms, motors control, communication aspects, …
- Integrate and validate the software and the robotics subsystems in the complete system.
- Develop and use application tools (software, test, and debug modules, …) to monitor, analyse and optimize the performances of the fleet of the robots on the field.
- Analyse and enhance efficiency, stability, and scalability of system resources.
- Provide postproduction support.
- Interface with electronics and mechanics hardware design and development.
- Assess third party and open-source robotics subsystems and technologies.
Preferred Skills
- Master in Electro-Mechanics, Electronics or Computer Science.
- Minimum 2 to 3 years of experience in a similar role.
- Solid programming experience in C, C++, C#.
- Excellent relational and communication skills in French and English.
- Knowledge and understanding of multitasking real time operating systems (Linux, …), communication protocols (CAN, TCP/IP…), interfaces and hardware subsystems (microcontroller architectures, electronics schematics, and datasheets…).
